Our chickens!


Soon after we arrived in Zimbabwe, we met a family that had chickens and a whole multitude of animals.  I decided that having fresh eggs and some animals on the property would be something that would probably only happen while living in Africa.  So my loving husband obliged my fancy and we found someone to build us a coop out of shipping crates.

We had to order the chickens and I went and picked them up about 10 days ago.  We ordered "point of lay" hens, which means that they should start laying eggs soon!
